About the Company:

Our client is a fast-growing Australian owned FX Payment company, which aims to provide efficient, inexpensive payments services to SMEs and Corporate clients.  The company has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland and they are currently looking to expand into Singapore and Hong Kong.   In addition to FX payment services, they also provide tailor-made FX Risk Management solutions to their wholesale clients.

About the Role:

Due to rapid growth within the business, they are actively looking for a results-driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their Auckland office. This role will suit a result-driven professional experienced in developing relationships with SMEs and corporate clients requiring efficient and effective FX payment solutions and services.


Duties:

  • Manage both existing clients and the development of new business opportunities across various business segments and industry types
  • Take a lead role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships
  • Convert proactively new B2B lead opportunities by utilising a consultative sales approach. Consult with them on their currency requirements, risk profile, and payment solutions and progress toward securing sustainable, profitable trading relationships
  • Maintain active leads in company’s internal Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Maintain an understanding of the FX market, compliance, and legislative requirements, and broader business/economic landscape to enhance your ability to meet and anticipate client requirements.
  • Recommend strategies and initiatives to assist the business to meet growth objectives and to improve operation/execution efficiency.
  • Work autonomously, with an ability to collaborate when required, to help tailor solutions for clients and articulate how the company’s products and services can best solve the challenges they face.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experienced in sales techniques
  • Strong attention to details
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or higher in business/commerce or related field.
