Dispensing Operator

The client is one of New Zealand's largest pharmaceutical grade dairy products manufacturers based in East Tamaki, Auckland.

Their dynamic dairy products manufacturing plant is looking for a committed and experienced Dispensing Operator to join their dispensing team in the production department. This position is ideal for candidates with a good understanding of dairy products manufacturing practices.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ensure dispensing of raw materials as per standard operating procedure
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of critical scales and equipment
  • Ensure all equipment is operated according to site standards
  • Ensure all health and safety rules, standards and policies are adhered, including reporting any incidents or near misses
  • Complete daily production sheets and enter production information into the management operating system as required
  • Actively maintain food safety, good manufacturing practice, cleaning and hygiene standards, including corrective actions from audits and non-conformance reports
  • Report and control any unsafe/out of specification condition including equipment, process, raw materials or product, ensuring prevention of release of defective material
  • Function as a team member and deliver individual performance that contributes to the team success

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Food Science/Microbiology, Food Chemistry, Pharmacology, Food Technology, Food Engineering or relevant areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least one year experience within the dairy industry will be an advantage
  • A can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility with overtime and weekends work if required
  • Good team member
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule (occasional early morning, later afternoon, or weekend work) based on task and program demands
